| 介紹 | CAB-O-SIL? MS-55 is a medium-high surface fumed silica which imparts significant increase in viscosity in liquid systems, provides good reinforcement of rubber and has high adsorptive capacity for inks in microporous coatings for inkjet media. All untreated fumed silicas are characterized by:
Rheology Control for Coatings, Adhesive and other Liquid Systems: CAB-O-SIL MS-55 is used to provide thickening, thixotrophic (shear-thinning), and anti-settling behavior in liquid systems. MS-55 is most efficient in non-polar to medium polarity systems. For more polar systems, treated fumed silicas are more effective. MS-55 offers a good balance between thickening efficiency and dispersibility. Microporous Coatings for Inkjet Media: CAB-O-SIL MS-55 fumed silica is used in microporous coatings for inkjet printing. Microporous coatings enable instant dry printing, a significant improvement over slow drying polymer swellable coatings. The high adsorptive capacity of MS-55 provides fast adsorption of inks and rapid drying speed. Reinforcement of Silicone and Organic Rubber: CAB-O-SIL MS-55 is commonly used for reinforcement of silicone rubber and can be used to reinforce organic rubbers. It imparts good increase in hardness, tensile and elongation. |
